Best Wedding Dresses of 2014

One of my favorite blog posts to put together is the Best Wedding Dresses of the year post. In this case, the best wedding dresses of 2014. None other than my favorites from all the weddings we photographed this year.  Now, personal favorites have nothing to do with anything else other than personal taste. Think of it this way – these are dresses I would wear. I feel the need to start with a disclaimer as I don’t want for my other brides not on this list to feel like I did not love their dresses. Let me put it this way, I LOVE WEDDINGS, everything about the fairytale of it all, so there isn’t really a dress I do not like. Maybe the risqué Pnina Tornai dresses, but none of you wore a Pnina so we are in the clear.

Without further ado, and in no particular order here are my top ten wedding dresses of 2014!

First up is Michelle in her breathtaking Anna Maier – Ulla-Maija Felicite wedding dress – Duchess satin fluted column gown with diagonally draped bodice and detachable draped train.

Next up is Shannon’s Hayley Paige Dori wedding dress – Alabaster tulle bridal gown with halter high neck alabaster and crystal bodice, full horse hair flounced skirt and chapel train. (paired with a black Adrianna Papell bridesmaid dress from Nordstrom)

Amanda wore a beautiful Monique Lhuillier Esme Ivory illusion cap sleeve modified trumpet gown with embellished appliqué overlay. (paired with vintage teal Jenny Yoo Nabi Convertible Bridesmaid Dresses)

Holly wore a romantic Rivini Lanai wedding dress – timeless French Chantilly Lace sheath gown with coral mist underlay and a plunging neckline accented with an Italian tulle train and open back. (paired with Johanna August bridesmaid dresses)

Kristina wore an Amsale Astor ball gown – Faille de soie bateau neckline gown with illusion back.

Jen wore an elegant and classically simple strapless bridal gown from Nicole Miller. The sweetheart neckline and fitted bodice are figure-flattering and create a streamlined look. A fishtail train is the finishing touch to this sophisticated and modern gown. Paired with a stunning JCrew statement necklace. (bridesmaid dresses from another one of my favorites – BHLDN).

Lindsay wore a gorgeous Vera Wang Erin wedding dress – Strapless off white organza ball gown. (paired with JCrew bridesmaid dresses)

Laura wore an elegant Monique Lhuillier Embrace gown – cap sleeve sheath with boned bodice and natural waist.

Holly wore a vintage inspired beaded strapless fit to flare Nicole Miller Lindsay dress.

Krista wore an Ivy & Aster Lumiere Dress (purchased in Toronto, Canada) – Starburst bodice with subtle draped skirt (paired with Aritza Toronto bridesmaid dresses)
