Jenn & Jason

I don’t think I have ever seen a ballroom as stunning as the one at the InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile. And walking in right after the amazing Shannon Gail of Shannon Gail Weddings & Events had completed adding her magic touch simply took my breath away! The flowers, linens, china, menus, mercury glass centerpieces and succulent adorned cake that the couple had chosen for their big day were so beautiful, so exquisite that it felt every bit as elegant and classic as the Royal wedding itself. Jenn & Jason were pure joy to work with and braved the 100 degree weather BEFORE their wedding ceremony all in the name of great photos! What more could I ask for? Thank you, Jenn, Jason and Shannon for the incredible honor of photographing this special day! I don’t think I have taken this many detail photos in my life! ūüôā

I know you are anxiously awaiting to see it all for yourselves, so let’s get started.

I took a lot of pictures of Jenn’s dress (Sophia Dang design from Vanessa’s Modern Bride), but this soft focus view of the back of the dress and train is my favorite – looks like waves of sea foam crashing ashore.

Jenn & Jason decided to see each other before the ceremony so they could have a little more time for pictures and just get to enjoy all of their wedding ceremony to end of reception without interruption.

Back inside and ready for the ceremony… and a little surprise for the groom.

The beautiful A-Line chuppah was the creation of Ryan Turner from StemLine Creative. All the stationary, gorgeous invites, programs and elegant menus came from Just Invite Me.

As an homage to her Korean heritage the bride changed into a traditional dress for the ceremony.

Are you ready to see the ballroom transformation? Here are all the amazing details that made Jenn & Jason’s day so special and unique.

The party is ready to begin!

…with the couple’s first dance.

Followed by cake cutting.

A few very special toasts, including by the couple themselves.

Full dance floor and happy guests all night, courtesy of a great band – Underwater People! Always a very important aspect of any wedding!

And yes, we could not NOT sneak out for a fun end of the evening shot of the couple on Michigan Avenue.

Many thanks to all the incredible vendors that my job so easy with their hard work and beautiful creations.
