Kristin + Ty
When sorting through all the images from Ty and Kristin’s wedding and marveling at how beautiful the day was I couldn’t help but wonder if anyone looking at these pictures could tell exactly where this wedding took place. It looks like something out of a Crate & Barel catalog at times, a Martha’s Vineyard wedding perhaps. It’s none of those things. It’s just a perfect reflection of Ty & Kristin, down to the very last detail. Can you take a guess? I’d love to hear your thoughts. Comments are welcome.
The day started at a private residence on the lake.
Ty and Kristin decided to see each other before the ceremony so they could have more time for pictures beforehand and not miss any of the celebration after.
Wait till you see Kristin’s dress on her. Officially my favorite dress this season. And perfect for the venue! The guys looked fabulous too! I just loved the hats, khakis and sandals. Perfect for a summer wedding outdoors.
After a few minutes alone the bridal party and family members joined the couple for pictures.
An hour before the ceremony, the groom and his groomsmen went to bring the guests over by boat. A little tour, an early cocktail hour and everyone was ready to party! Ceremony first.
I love this picture of Kristin and her parents walking down the isle!
A champagne toast followed.
And just as the sun was starting to set and the guests started to make their way to the reception, we snuck away on the boat with Kristin and Ty for a few more shots of just the two of them.
How absolutely gorgeous is Kristin? I feel like I am looking at a fashion spread when I look back at their portraits! By the way, the dress is a Tasha style gown – Vineyard Collection – Pricilla of Boston.
A short walk up the road and we they are ready for dinner and dancing.
Surrounded by family and friends they celebrated love, adventure and a union in marriage that was a long time coming.
Their first dance was nothing short of magnificent! Fog machine and lights? What more could a girl ask for? My hands were shaking I was so excited to shoot a first dance through the smokiness of the fog machine. I threw in a little off camera flash as well and got to work!
To get everyone onto the dance floor the couple planned for a special dance lesson from the groom’s father. This is how Zorba’s dance is done!
Needless to say, it was big hit with the crowd. Young and old alike.
The kids also took turns through out the evening to dance with the bride.
Kristin and Ty, your wedding was every bit as special as you are. It was a pleasure and an honor to be part of your day and to capture all these magical times. I hope you are having a blast on your honeymoon!!!!
