My Favorite Wedding Dresses of 2011

This end of the year I thought of doing something different. Rather than a recap of all 48 weddings we photographed in 2011, keep it simple and just share a top ten of my favorite wedding dresses. Now, personal favorites have nothing to do with anything else other than personal taste. And yes, you will see a lot of very similar styles, although I tried to include a little bit of everything. But what is a girl to do if she loves¬†mermaid? ūüôā Think of it this way – these are dresses I would wear. I feel the need to start with a disclaimer as I don’t want for my other 38 brides not on this list to feel like I did not love their dresses. Let me put it this way, I LOVE WEDDINGS, everything about the fairytale of it all, so there isn’t really a dress I do not like. Maybe the see through¬†Pnina Tornai dresses, but none of you wore a Pnina so we are in the clear.

Without further ado, and in no particular order here are my top ten wedding dresses of 2011! FIY: there is a contest going on right now on our Facebook page for your No. 1 choice of all the dresses presented. Please go to Facebook.com/cristinagphoto to vote and help one of these brides win a 5X5 20 page, photo cover flush mount album! The rules are simple: you have to “like” our page first and then “like” just one of the ten dresses. That counts as your vote. One vote per person. Your name must appear in the “People Who Like Cristina G Photography” box for the vote to count. ūüôā

First up is Caitlin. Lazaro dress (style 3063) РIvory organza tufted ball bridal gown, sweetheart neckline, sheer jewel encrusted bodice with platinum silk satin ribbon at natural waist, tufted organza A-Line skirt, chapel train.

Our second dress on the list is Kristen’s¬†Priscilla of Boston Vineyard Collection Tasha dress – Silk Charmeuse V-neck slim fitted wedding dress with flounces that cascade down the center back and flow into a soft train. And can I just say that to look a million times better on my bride than on the runway model in the link above! If needed, some of the dresses will have more than one image displayed.

Jessica wore a¬†La Sposa dress purchased at one of my favorite Chicago bridal boutiques –¬†Weddings 826! The dress featured a sweetheart neckline with lace bodice and tulle skirt.¬†Enzoani belt and Priscilla of Boston headband.
