Wendy + Louie

The 4th of July weekend was a double wedding weekend for us. And it was magnificent. I will blog it backwards or by “most recently” uploaded pictures. Sunday was Wendy and Louie’s big day at the Peninsula Hotel in downtown Chicago. We started with a few getting ready shots and worked our way up to an emotional first look and a downtown tour for pictures all before walking down the isle.

Wendy’s dress was a gorgeous Pronovias design! I fell in love with it…

The boys were getting ready on the 17th floor.

Time to put the shoes on!

One last look in the mirror and adjusting the earrings before the big reveal.

Louie waited for Wendy at the bottom of the staircase leading into their ceremony and reception area.

Our first location for pictures was the busy Michigan Avenue. I love the energy of the city on a holiday weekend!

Wendy’s gorgeous hair and makeup were done by the very talented Diem Angie Nguyen and her team. Flowers by Kloeckner. I have worked with both vendors many times before and highly recommend them. But their work truly speaks for itself!

Everyone stopping in the middle of the intersection to greet and congratulate the almost newlyweds. Konstantin captured this fun candid shot of the bridal party.

And another candid by me.

Second stop – LaSalle Bridge.

Chicago Borad of Trade – third photo location.

Fourth and final stop – Olive Park.

4th of July weekend on the lake!

Louie carried Wendy in his arms all the way out of the park! To give her feet a rest before walking down the isle and to prevent the dress from getting dirty in the sandy areas of the path.

Time to say I do! Boys are ready.

Cocktail hour was outside on the patio and reception just across the hall in the beautiful Peninsula ballroom.

Welcome speech from the bride and groom.

All eyes on them. ūüôā

A few words from the best man followed.

We snuck out with their rings during dinner. ūüėõ

Beautiful cake. See how well it matches Wendy’s dress?

I will end this post with a couple of pictures from their first dance.

Louie and Wendy, you were incredible to work with! Thank you for sharing your big day with us and for allowing us to capture these timeless memories of your first day as husband and wife.
