Best Chicago Wedding Reception Venues
The Murphy Auditorium is located in the heart of downtown Chicago, just steps from the Magnificent Mile! The beautiful architecture of the building is reminiscent of a Parisian chapel – perfect for a classic, elegant, black tie wedding! One of the best features of this beautiful venue is the fact that it can easily become your rainy day back up plan for pictures! Plenty of great photo ops inside! Ah, Germania Place! You have to see it in person to understand the old world glamour and beauty of this exquisite venue. Located in the heart of Old Town, Germania Place is close to many, many gorgeous backdrops for photos and once inside, you will be transported in time and feel as if you were attending a wedding in a Grand Ballroom of Europe’s glorious past. My favorite part is the upstairs balcony and all the magical moments I captured as a fly on the wall. The Redfield Estate at The Grove is located in Glenview, Illinois and just happens to be one of the very best oputdoor wedding venues in the Chicago area. You can have both your ceremony and reception at the estate, not to mention that is is absolutely perfect for all your portraits as well. The grounds have both indoor and outdoor options for the reception. The outside pavilion fits about 80 guests. The Tudor style house fits a comfortable 50 guest list. Cafe Brauer is a historical Chicago landmark. A magnificent venue for a wedding located in Lincoln Park, right next to the Lincoln Park Zoo and a short walk away from The Nature Museum and the Lily Pond – two of my favorite spots to shoot in the Lincoln Park area. The Woman’s Athletic Club of Chicago is a private club located in downtown Chicago (the Cartier building). The interior of the Club reflects the early 20th century Beaux-Arts and Art Deco design. From the stunning Ballroom to the elegant Silver Room to the welcoming Drawing Room to the cozy Library – each room is uniquely designed to provide a special place for groups large and small to gather. An architectural treasure, the Clubhouse was awarded Landmark status in 1991. (source: Woman’s Athletic Club)
The Renaissance Blackstone is a one of a kind venue for a wedding. Fit for a Royal wedding! The beautiful ornate ballroom and amazing balcony vantage point for photographers are the reasons why for me The Blackstone was love at first sight. It is beautiful inside and out and located just steps from Grand Park and Michigan Avenue – perfect backdrops for your pictures!
